Cr George Hua is a resident of Clayton South, and is serving his first term on Kingston Council.

Cr Hua first arrived in Australia from Shanghai in 2007, and pursued a Computer Science degree at Monash University. He works as a senior software engineer and manages a financial technology start up, giving him firsthand knowledge of the challenges experienced by local businesses.

Cr Hua understands the importance of creating more local jobs and responsibly managing a large council budget to deliver infrastructure and services while reducing the pressures on cost of living and doing business in Kingston.

He is committed to listening, delivering and making sure our diverse community continues to have the opportunity to live, work and raise their families in a council which is accountable and responsive.

Cr Hua’s priorities for Kingston include lower council rates, more funding for upgrades of local amenities and improved parks and public open spaces, stronger community engagement – particularly in planning matters – and achieving a better future for our municipality.
